Newest Foot Soldier Logan's Legacy

The Founder of Logan's Legacy, Suzette Hall, whose passion for rescuing dogs and cats is unprecedented as seen on her Facebook page. These helpless creatures were abandoned by their owners, left by a freeway, dumped in a field and are often waiting in the same spot they last saw their owners....thinking their owners will return...but they do not.

Logan's Legacy is a faith based rescue. Suzette lost her only son Logan to a rare heart condition. Logan and Suzette shared the same passion for rescuing animals. Logan was filled with compassion and his favorite part of rescuing animals was holding them in his arms after they had been rescued. He felt for the lost, the abandoned and unwanted deep in his heart. After his passing, Suzette knew the best way to keep his memory alive was to continue rescuing in his memory. With God, and her angel in heaven, she continues to save lives daily.

When Suzette receives the call about an animal in distress, her next steps include: purchasing food such as hot dogs for the traps, driving to desolate places and setting a trap to rescue the animal.

Suzette is known to sleep in her car all night to save these lives. She does not give up until the animal is safe.

Once the dogs and cats are safe in her trap, Suzette has them fully vetted and groomed at Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine, CA. Sometimes, surgery is required. Donations are always needed to help get these animals everything they need. Once that is accomplished, it's onto a foster home with adoption in the "furever'' home as the goal.

Moonie is one example of a life saving rescue.Suzette got a message at Midnight that a dog who had been dumped in the middle of nowhere. Her GPS said it was an hour and 17 minutes away, down a dark desolate dirt road. "I knew I couldn’t sleep if I didn’t go and I felt Logan tugging at my heart saying Mom go, she needs you. “

My heart is full of emotions right now and I can’t stop crying. I prayed and cried the whole way there.... praying that I could find her.

There she was, lying on an old dirty sleeping bag literally crying for help . She had CUTS all over her body, she had MANGE, was HAIRLESS and STARVING.
I set my trap, cried and watched her limp over across a broken fence to get to the food. She had what appears to be an old jacket hanging off of her. It is a miracle that she was noticed out there. I was scared because I was by myself, in the middle of nowhere, but I wasn’t giving up. When I heard my trap shut, I literally sobbed and yelled out “Logan I got her.“

I prayed and thanked Him as I loaded my trap into my van. This was a tremendously emotional rescue for me. Glory be to God. You are rescued sweet baby, we will go to the vet first thing in the morning and get you everything you need. I named her Moonie and she is now safe.

Moonie went to Camino Pet Hospital, was in isolation one month to treat and heal her contagious mange. Courageous and resilient Moonie is about one year old and has blossomed into a loving, happy, beautiful baby girl awaiting her "forever" home.

Midnight, another example of a life saving rescue, was found on a very busy street, begging for help. He had been dumped out there, all alone, to fend for himself. Suzette saw that he had some sort of make shift cast on his leg. He was in terrible pain. Suzette took him straight to Camino Pet Hospital, he was petrified to even walk. The pain was unbearable.

This poor dog had been alone in his pain far too long. The vet peeled back this makeshift bandage and found it was completely raw, even his bone was showing.

Someone had just left him behind -- abandoned him. Dogs have feelings and they hurt as bad as we do when they are abandoned. After getting Midnight comfortable and cleaned up, it was determined he would need his entire leg amputated and become a tripod -- it just couldn't be saved. Suzette never gives up and had his leg amputated.

Suzette knew it was about saving his life and that tripods live amazing, long and happy lives. After his surgery, he rehabilitated with a foster. Where he started to come out of his shell, he turned into such a happy dog -- running and playing. Midnight loves other dogs and everyone he meets.

The best part of this story is that a young gal, who had been in a terrible accident and lost one of her own legs, fell in love with Midnight and his story. She felt an instant connection with him, that they were meant to be together, believed they could heal together and relate to each other in so many ways. She adopted Midnight and they both are in love and living happily ever after.
